The Trezor Suite App is designed with a security-first approach, making it one of the most trusted applications in the crypto space. It works hand-in-hand with Trezor hardware wallets, ensuring your private keys never leave the device. But beyond the hardware integration, the app itself offers layered defenses.
Every transaction initiated through the app must be confirmed physically on your Trezor device, making phishing or remote attacks ineffective. You also set a unique PIN that protects your wallet from unauthorized access. If a wrong PIN is entered too many times, the device wipes itself, protecting your assets from brute force attacks.
One of the most advanced security features is the optional passphrase protection. This adds an extra word to your recovery seed, functioning as a “25th word” that creates an additional hidden wallet. Even if someone gets your seed phrase, without the passphrase, they can’t access your funds.
Trezor Suite also supports Tor integration, which helps anonymize your connection by hiding your IP address when broadcasting transactions. Another noteworthy feature is Coin Control, allowing users to select specific UTXOs, which can improve privacy and fee optimization.
